Stories define us.

Authentic South is a sound-rich, storytelling series that explores the South's culture through food, art, music, land, literature and characters.

Host Tanner Latham is an award-winning travel writer and multimedia storyteller based in the San Francisco Bay Area. After growing up in a small town in Alabama, he spent more than a decade traveling throughout and reporting about the South as a Travel Editor for Southern Living magazine. While on staff as the multimedia reporter at the NPR affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tanner won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award.

He is the executive producer of the Following Harriet podcast, which trended as the #1 History podcast and #12 overall Top Show on Apple Podcasts. He also authored the bestselling Country Music's Greatest Eats, a cookbook collaboration with Country Music Television (CMT) and Southern Living magazine that profiled 30 Country Music stars and their favorite family recipes.
